A COLONEL WITH A VIEW
[BIZ: Maastricht, December 6] Initial talks began four years ago and now the building on the Stationsplein in the Wyck district of the city has rented out 70% of its space. 120 of Ernst & Young’s staff have been working there for the past six months. Beneath the building there is a parking garage for 300 cars and at the top floor there is a fabulous view over Maastricht. During the opening ceremony a check worth EUR 50,000 was donated to Mr R. Knegt, Chairman of the Limburg Secondary School Board, by the tenants of The Colonel: 3W, Q-Park, ING Bank, and Ernst & Young for the international school. (Source: Dagblad de Limburger)
The new Colonel building has been opened by the project developers 3W. This major office building, next to Maastricht’s central station, is a cooperative project between 3W and Dutch Rail NS Real Estate and was designed by the Berlin architect Hans Kollhoff. It covers 18,000m2 on 14 stories and cost EUR 52m.
