TGV MAASTRICHT
[BIZ/LOG: Maastricht, December 6]
From December 11, Maastricht will have a high-speed connection to the Thalys that goes via Liège and Brussels to Paris. This is now possible because the Belgian railways have changed their schedule. The new connection in Liège means that Brussels is closer — now one hour and 28 minutes from Maastricht (it was one hour and 56 minutes) and three hours and one minute from Paris (it was three hours and 26 minutes). There’s also a fast evening return direct linking from the Thalys from Paris North and Brussels South, and to the local trains in Maastricht. This has been made possible by having the local train start seven minutes later.
