HEIDELBERG IN KAZAKHSTAN

Heidelberg Cement, parent company of the ENCI in Maastricht and Lixhe (Visé) has taken over the Buchtarma Cement Comany in Kazakhstan. They are planning to sell 2 million tonnes of cement next year. The plant employs 1,300 and the Central Asian market is apparently booming.
