BOMBARDIER

After a weak 2005 Bombardier, the train builders in Aachen, have seen the light at the end of the tunnel. In an article in the Aachener Zeitung the plant manager Frank Iffländer is positive about the future. In particular, demands for the new Talent, with orders from The Netherlands and the 60 additional four-car Bombardier Talent electric multiple units (EMUs) to be used on regional and commuter services with Austrian railways, provide good future prospects. The plant employs 665 and currently has between 80 and 100 temporary employees.
