POWER FROM LIEGE AND BRUSSELS

[BIZ/INFRA: Liège, November 17]
The Liège intercommunal cable utility ALE-Télédis and its Brussels company Brutélé are going to work together next year. The two cable networks have 613,000 subscribers and want to offer what is called ‘triple play’ next year. This allows the customer to choose between analogue or digital television, Internet, telephony, and interactive services. Both intercommunal utilities are going to join forces to compete with Belgacom. Another option is a partnership with the Flemish company Telenet.

The companies will offer joint prices, a distribution incentive, and after sales service.
