STAWAG TAKES OVER THE DRAINS

Stawag, the Aachen power utility company, is taking over the city’s drains. This had been a responsibility of the City itself but Stawag will be carrying this out and looking after investments in the system. The company will probably set up a new wholly owned subsidiary for this purpose. Stawag believes that synergies will lead to savings. According to an article in the Aachener Zeitung, the change was not greeted with universal approval.
