WUST TAKEN OVER BY BESIX GROUP
[BIZ: Malmédy, October 4] The move means that, among other things, Wust will be quoted on the Cairo stock exchange as well as the Brussels exchange. The history of Besix goes back to the beginning of the century when it was known as the ‘Société Belge des Bétons’.
The Malmédy construction company Wust has been taken over by the Besix Group. Wust will retain its name and operate independently. It employs 600 and produces revenues in the region of EUR 100m and will have a 10% share in the Besix Group’s activities. Wust is, among other things, working on the new TVG station in Liège. Besix covers virtually all fields of construction and employs some 1,500 university graduates and technicians as well as 10,000 workers.
