MRI WINS INTERNATIONAL TENDER
[BIZ: Maastricht, October 3] About StorageTek: On Thursday, June 2, the news was announced that StorageTek (www.storagetek.com) and Sun Micro Systems (www.sun.com) would be joining forces, making a strategic combination of both businesses and turning them into a world player. This is expected to be completed in Q3 2005 and will result in an organization with annual revenues of around USD 13bn. This is a company that provides customers throughout the world with a complete range of networking, computing, data management services, and ILM systems and solutions in order to manage critical business data. Currently the MRI Capital Group is offering an outsourcing service to IBM sales forces in five countries. Jean (JJJ) Theuns says, “This business model gives our partners the opportunity to focus 100 percent on their core business. The result is a clear rise in expertise and effectiveness.” The project will be further developed with MRI’s partner Global Marketing Services. MRI is also starting a campaign on L1 radio in South Limburg (95.3 FM). It commences in Q4 2005 and Q1 2006. The choice of Amsterdam for an office was an obvious one because of the Economic importance of the region, the presence of international customers, and the location of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
The Belgian branch of the MRI Capital group, which has a base in Maastricht, has won an important international tender. This relates to the complete outsourcing of human resources and payroll activities of the external sales group known as Global Marketing Services of StorageTek. MRI Capital will initially offer these services in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, Italy, and France, expansion to other countries follows.
