MAASVALLEI SOLD TO TEEMA

The Maasvallei, a former Center Parks location in Lanklaar, has been sold to the Dutch Teema International group. They plan to build a hotel and holiday houses on the 250 ha site on the old Eisden (B) mining site. Earlier plans for a third Belgian ‘Center Parcs’ location have been canceled.

Teema International is a group of Dutch investors with a focus on leisure projects. Maasvallei is still in the hands of the British Scottish & Newcastle Breweries, who used to be owners of ‘Center Parcs’. This means the area will probably zoned for leisure purposes.
