BELGIAN RAIL TO INVEST EUR 4.8BN

SNCB the Belgian rail group is to invest EUR 4.8bn in three years. Management wants to invest this money over the next three years and they made the proposal to this effect recently to the holding company - which was reported in La Libre Belgique. The major target for investment is the TGV. The plan is not very ambitious, but realistic, according to commentators.
