FORTUM SIGNS WITH TRIANEL

Fortum Service has signed a 15-year operation and maintenance agreement with Meuse-Rhine-based Trianel Energie. The agreement covers the 800 MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Hamm-Uentrop, Germany. The mobilisation phase of the contract will start in September 2006. The combined cycle gas turbine power plant represents state-of-the-art technology and will be ready for commercial use in September 2007.
”Service won the deal in a tough international bidding race. Our merits were our long-term references in operating and maintaining combined cycle gas turbine plants, experience with similar types of plants, as well as our competitive, customer-specific concept”, explains Osmo Lähelmä from Fortum Service.
Fortum Service provides operation and maintenance services for industry and energy companies in the Nordic countries and in selected international markets in Europe and Asia.
Fortum has been in Germany since 1993, the Finnish parent company Fortum Service Oy has long-term international experience in business and the maintenance of CGCT power stations, and also with coal, biomass, peat and incinerator stations and covers the whole range. On the basis of this experience, Fortum is able to offer its clients top service.
