FLEMISH BUILDING PERMITS

The number of building permits was the highest in the first 6 months of this year since 1980. Building permits for new houses have broken a record. From January through end June, 21,134 were issued. 1,500 more than H1, 2004. This is the highest number since 1980. The lowest point was in 2002, when only 14,348 permits for new houses were issued.
